Repacking your Sealed Bearings:

This is a very simple process to do.

Step 1:

Bearing must be a sealed bearing. RS Type Rubber seal.

Step 2:

Locate a flat head screwdriver where the tip is about 1/8 of an inch.

Step 3:

Place the tip of the screwdriver into the inner part of the seal. Between the inner rase and seal.

Step 4:

Twist screwdriver and seal pops out.

Step 5:

Grease all of one side and only half of the other. This is equal to 70% greasing of the bearing. Highly recommended not to exceed this amount.

Step 6:

Replace seal. This is very easy and will pop right back into place.

Repacking should be done prior to installing any sealed bearing. You should repack at least once a year as either a pre or post season maintenance. If you take care of them they will last a lot longer then just dropping them in and going.
